Booking Conditions at Tides Reach Guest House

1. Reservations

Your room is reserved up to 6pm on the arrival date. You must guarantee your reservation at the time of booking by card details. We reserve the right to cancel reservations but will try to always find alternative suggestions of accommodation where possible.

2.Cancellation Policy

i) We accept credit/debit cards to secure a reservation, the first night’s booking is deducted as a non refundable deposit should you cancel. This is at our discretion and we try hard not to do this and will only do so if we are going to take a financial loss. You can cancel free of charge if you do so by noon of the previous day to arrival.
ii) Should you have to cancel for any reason-as long as we can re-let the room – no additional charge will be made.
iii) In the event of this not being possible two thirds of the total will be deducted from the card.
iv) If you decide to shorten your stay you must inform us by 10am on the day otherwise you will be charged the cost of one night’s accommodation per room booked.

3. Payment

At Tides Reach, if you have valid card details then you pay on departure. If a booking has not been made 24 hours earlier, it is expected that you would settle your bill on arrival. Tides Reach Guest House accepts payment by cash or Debit card ( Visa Delta or Maestro.) Due to high charges we only accept the following credit card with an extra charge to your total bill.

We do not accept personal cheques.

All bills are invoiced to include our VAT Number.if you would like an invoice and have not been given one, please ask!

4. Room prices

Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT (17.5% UK). Breakfast is included in the room price.

5. Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 3pm on the arrival date.

Please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 6pm. We reserve the right to let your room if you do not let us know you are going to be late and charge you as a cancellation. Arrivals after 11pm will attract a discretionary charge of £20. Your room must be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time will result in additional charges up to and including the cost of one night's accommodation.

6. Group bookings

The person booking the rooms is responsible for all payments and is responsible for any damage made.

7. Particular requirements

We are happy to cater for most diets but if you feel that there is anything we need to know please let us know before hand and we will try to do this for you.

Tides Reach has a wheelchair available for guest’s use. If you need a ground floor room please let us know at the time of booking. These rooms are only suitable for guests with some mobility, the showers are not wet room type and cannot accommodate a wheelchair.

In accordance with the no-smoking legislation, this is a smoke free premises and smoking is not permitted anywhere within Tides Reach or its grounds. Failure to adhere to this no smoking policy will result in an additional charge of £200.

8. Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the breakfast room between 8.15am and 9am on weekdays and between 8.30am and 9.15am at weekends and on Bank Holidays. There is a buffet table with cereals, yoghurts, juices, fresh fruit, croissants, grapefruit and prunes and a table service of cooked breakfast, toasts and drinks.

9. Please note

We regret that, with the exception of assistance dogs, no pets are allowed at Tides Reach unless especially agreed by us. We have two Cavalier Spaniels who although they do not go into the bedrooms do live at the Guest House therefore people with allergies to dogs or who do not like dogs need to be aware.

Electrical appliances, such as toasters, mini cookers and portable grills, may not be used in the rooms as they may set off the sensitive fire alarm system.

Reservations for rooms are non-transferable and must not, under any circumstances, be sold or otherwise transferred to a third party who is not a member of your group.

You must not advertise, market or otherwise offer any Tides Reach room for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer.

The lounge and dining room is locked at night and at our discretion. We do not allow food to be eaten in the Guest House bedrooms, lounge or dining room other than breakfast! Alcohol may not be consumed in the lounge.

Prices include VAT (17.5% UK, 13.5% RoI). All prices and details are correct at current time and are subject to change without notice.
